Dissatisfaction with Kristersson is growing—members of his own party are pointing the finger at his wife

The revelations surrounding the prime minister and his wife continue to cause turmoil—and now reports are emerging of growing discontent even within their own ranks. Several sources within the Moderate Party describe a sense of frustration that, in their view, risks damaging the party ahead of the election campaign, while the party leadership is trying to downplay the criticism.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is under pressure not only from falling approval ratings but also from recent revelations about his wife Birgitta Edher activities at Fållökna Manor. There, she runs the Fållökna Foundation, which has been the focus of several media investigations over the past week. Now, sources within the Moderate Party tell Svenska Dagbladet (SvD) that the deal has sparked growing discontent within his own party.

”People are furious”

According to several sources, the criticism is directed not only at Birgitta Ed but also at the prime minister’s closest aides and the way the issue has been handled. At the same time, the party leadership is trying to project a sense of calm to the outside world despite the internal frustration.

– People are angry and frustrated with Fållökna, Birgitta's daisies, and Ulf's inner circle. They're unpleasant, immature, and don't seem to understand the crisis we're in, "A Moderate Party source told SvD,".

Another source within the Moderate Party suggests that confidence in the prime minister is now waning even among those who previously defended him.

– Right now, even people who previously defended Ulf think that all his affairs and friends make him seem amateurish and sleazy. That’s why they’re taking it so hard—it’s so demoralizing, says the person.

Management downplays the criticism

Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer tells Svenska Dagbladet that he rarely gets questions about Birgitta Ed when he’s campaigning. The Moderate Party’s campaign manager Martin BorgAt the same time, the party claims that its own data shows that the Fållökna affair was mentioned in only a few conversations with voters and that internal critics represent a small minority.

Despite this, several Moderate Party sources have told Svenska Dagbladet that the scandal involving the prime minister and his wife is a growing problem ahead of the election campaign—even though the party leadership is publicly trying to downplay its significance.

  1. How much energy and time is it reasonable to devote to any of the traitors in the theater? Perhaps it is better to note that they are all (with a few potential exceptions) unpunished criminals whose claims, maneuvers, and arguments ALWAYS have one and the same purpose: TO STRENGTHEN THEIR POWER AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PEOPLE AND TO FIGHT FOR THE WORLD’S TWO TERROR NATIONS THAT COMMIT GENOCIDE AGAINST INNOCENT WOMEN AND CHILDREN WITH A RELATIVELY UNKNOWN CONNECTIONTO AN OLD SUPERSTITION IN THE FORM OF A TRIBAL RELIGION FOR A SELF-DEFINED MASTER RACE.
