Harsh criticism of Widding and Nyberg after no-vote against stricter citizenship requirements

Despite an attempt to slow down the reform, Parliament went ahead with stricter citizenship requirements. The vote was decided by a single vote - and the result is seen as an important victory for a stricter approach.

The Riksdag voted on Wednesday, the Swedish Parliament approved the government's proposal to tighten the requirements for Swedish citizenship. This includes a longer period of residence in Sweden before citizenship can be granted, a requirement to provide for oneself, and language and social studies tests. The reform comes into force on June 6.

But before the decision, there was drama. In a separate vote, the Elsa Widding and Katja Nyberg (both former Sweden Democrats, now Ambition Sweden) rejected the committee's line and joined the Social Democrats, the Left Party, the Center Party and the Green Party in an attempt to pass transitional rules that would have allowed pending applications to be examined under older, more lenient rules. The proposal failed by a vote of 147-146.

This meant that the attempt to open a loophole in the reform was stopped.

Attempts to slow down reform failed

Widding and Nyberg were heavily criticized, as their actions were seen as an attempt to weaken the reform in practice just before it comes into force.

”It is provocative that Elsa Widding and Katja Nyberg, after being elected on the SD's mandate, today joined forces with the Left to liberalize new citizenship legislation. We have worked for decades to achieve this decision. They failed but no less inexcusable for that”, writes the SD top Martin Kinnunen on X.

In a close parliamentary situation, a single vote the other way could have changed the outcome. This makes the vote particularly sensitive, as the question was whether the new requirements would have full impact from the start.

Nyberg defends the action

Katja Nyberg rejects the criticism and says she did not vote against stricter requirements per se, but against the government's lack of transitional rules.

”That's just plain wrong. We did not vote against stricter requirements - we voted against the lack of transitional rules”, she writes on X.

Elsa Widding has referred to the Legislative Council's criticism of legal certainty for those who have already submitted applications.

But despite that, their line fell. As a result, the reform was not undermined before it started, but is going ahead as planned.

That's the key takeaway from today's drama: the attempt to slow down the tightening of citizenship requirements was stopped and the reform was saved by a single vote.

  1. It cannot possibly be ruled out that Elsa and Katja are right on the merits and, if so, because of the possible backlash that could result from retroactive conditions.

It is also possible that the Zionist Democrats and associated traitor parties are aware of the aforementioned risk and can thus ”kill two birds with one stone” by on the one hand appearing as if they were not traitors while in the back of their minds they know (or suspect/hope) that there WILL be a setback so that the poorly camouflaged genocide of Sweden's indigenous population can be completed via mass immigration and structural racist discrimination in the form of quotas and affirmative action, etc.

In any case, what is going on in the playhouse increasingly appears to be what it is: a poorly directed spectacle aimed at keeping the people continuously disinformed so that globalist oppression can escalate in parallel with our biological and cultural extinction.

As it is, we will NOT be wiped out because we have already begun the liberation of our venerable people in order to build together the most fabulous kingdom humanity has ever seen based on love, community and meritocracy!

  2. So tired of all the TAX-FINANCED SCHOOL BAGS that we pay for.
Absent 56 people. DISMISS these immediately.

Attendance at all these votes shall be compulsory.
1st attendance missed by the Member WARNING.
2nd attendance SPARKS IMMEDIATELY & report to the unemployment fund the next day.

  3. But shit, people are quick to judge.
There will be one thing in AS's political narrative that cannot be interpreted in black and white and suddenly people start slandering EW and talking about lost confidence.
You can have a little more faith than that.
