Macron Blames AI for the Riots — Denies Migrant Invasion

France is being rocked by violent far-left immigrant riots involving fires and looting. But President Emmanuel Macron is focusing attention on AI-generated images and foreign disinformation campaigns, while denying that the country has been invaded by migrants and Islamists.

Following the violent riots in France over the weekend, President Emmanuel Macron commented on the unrest in a press conference in Doha on Wednesday. There, he lashed out at foreign leaders, including Donald Trump, for their descriptions of the violence and the situation in France.

– There has been foreign manipulation of the information, which has led to unacceptable and foolish comments, including from foreign leaders, ," Macron said. He also claimed that AI-generated images depicting scenes that never took place in France had been circulated, and dismissed claims that the country had been invaded by migrants and Islamists as completely false.

The president, however, did not specify which particular images he considered to be fabricated. The statement has therefore become a new point of contention in the wake of the riots, with critics accusing him of shifting the focus to disinformation rather than taking responsibility for the violence.

Le Pen rages: ”He’s denying reality”

Marine Le Pen reacts strongly to X and accuses the president of trying to shirk his responsibilities. She writes that France is on the brink of both civil war and economic collapse after nearly ten years with Macron in power.

”The president’s conspiracy-theory-based statements are serious. He is denying reality and trying to shirk his responsibility for the situation in our country.”, ", she writes, ”The images we saw on Saturday were not generated by artificial intelligence: they show the sad reality of what France has become after ten years of Macron’s rule.”

Mass immigration is clearly singled out

Even the nationalist politician Marion Maréchal (Marine Le Pen's niece) launches a fierce attack on Macron in X. She points out that the real foreign influence on France is demographic in nature and stems from the mass immigration that has affected the country. She accuses Macron and former government officials of having contributed, through large-scale immigration, to the situation the country now finds itself in.

”It’s time to take responsibility for your decisions and the consequences of your choices, Mr. President.”

  1. Macron needs to be taught a serious lesson. Arne W and Tobbe could probably give Macron ”a piece of their mind.” .

It's clear that Macron is ”living in a fantasy world”

Even in Sweden, there are many who need to be put in their place… Carl Bildt, Oksanen, Anders Lindberg, Jonna Sima—I won’t even mention Fredrik Reinfeldt… that guy, I’d like to lock him up in Boden Fortress… 🤔 –(M) really ought to come to terms with its history, distance itself from F.R., and, of course, expel him—and burn all the portraits and photos they have in party offices, etc.
