The Sweden Democrats’ party office in Karlshamn has once again been vandalized. During the night leading into Tuesday, a brick was thrown through a window—the third such incident at the office in a short period of time.
Earlier this year, the premises were defaced with stickers and suffered other acts of vandalism. The police have filed a report regarding the vandalism.
SD: Political debate should not involve violence
District Chair of SD Blekinge Fredrik Thomasson condemns the attack and emphasizes that political differences should be addressed through political debate—not through acts of destruction.
– Political discussions should take place in political forums, not through destruction or vandalism, says Fredrik Thomasson, according to SVT.
In a post, SD Blekinge writes that democracy will always triumph over the anti-democratic left, which is calling for violence against the party’s offices. But SD Blekinge will not be intimidated.
– The opposite of this kind of action is to be more visible, talk to people, and show that you’re not intimidated. That’s how we’ll keep going, no matter how badly people behave, ", says Fredrik Thomasson.
Silence from the mainstream media
Despite the fact that these are repeated attacks on the offices of a parliamentary party, the major mainstream media outlets have remained virtually silent. Neither Expressen, Aftonbladet, nor other major news organizations have covered the incident to any significant extent.
This is far from the first time that SD supporters and party offices have been subjected to threats, harassment, and violence. The tactic of intimidating and silencing political opponents through attacks on offices and individuals has been going on for many years.
The fact that a parliamentary party cannot carry out its activities without repeatedly being subjected to acts of vandalism is a serious problem for Swedish democracy. Regardless of political affiliation, no one should have to accept political violence as a method.
Frihetsnytt has reached out to SD Blekinge for a comment.

The government hasn't done anything to stop the violence perpetrated by the far left, so to some extent they have only themselves to blame, since Expo and AFA are allowed to continue as usual.
