It was around 1:30 a.m. on the night of June 21 when the 20-year-old Cody Harper got caught up in a violent altercation on Broad Street in downtown Birmingham. Video clips that were later shared on social media show Harper being shoved to the ground and assaulted by several Black men, reports The Telegraph.
