Description of the project

Are you worried about climate change? Maybe your friends, family, or children are?

Every day, the media reports that we are in the midst of a climate crisis caused by humans, and that a radical and urgent "green transition" is needed to avoid a global catastrophe. And all politicians agree. No wonder so many people are worried. But it’s also so unnecessary!
In fact, all available scientific data show that nothing alarming is actually happening with the climate. Climate models and official temperature curves also paint a greatly exaggerated picture of warming since 1850, which has in fact been a welcome improvement in the climate following the 500-year-long Little Ice Age. And the increased carbon dioxide levels have only contributed to a greener Earth and record harvests.
We are by no means living in an extremely warm period with extremely high carbon dioxide levels; on the contrary, we are living in one of the coldest and lowest-carbon-dioxide periods in the 500-million-year history of multicellular life, with long ice ages that have succeeded one another over the past 3 million years.
In this book, Staffan Mörner presents facts about the climate that neither the media, politicians, nor environmental organizations report on, but that everyone who takes the climate threat seriously should be aware of. But he also asks the important follow-up questions about what the real driving forces behind the climate threat are—if it isn’t, after all, objective science...

Concerns about the climate crisis are based on three fundamental claims:

1) Global warming leads to catastrophic climate change, which manifests itself in the form of, for example, melting ice, rising sea levels, more frequent and severe storms, increased droughts and floods, and ocean acidification.
2) 97% of all climate scientists agree that we are facing a serious climate threat in the form of global warming caused by increased human emissions of greenhouse gases.
3) Global warming cannot be explained by natural causes and can therefore be assumed with a high degree of certainty to be caused by human activity.

These claims are considered indisputable, and skeptics are almost automatically viewed as anti-scientific, ignorant, emotionally driven, unintelligent, misguided, selfish, corrupt, or even malicious. They are disparagingly called "climate deniers" and are rarely, if ever, given a fair hearing.

That is why many people are unaware of the skeptical arguments. But given the anxiety, the high costs, and the important political decisions that the climate threat entails, it is incredibly important not just to go with the flow, but to listen carefully, find out the facts, and think for yourself.
