Wanted to See More Mosques – Now the Social Democratic Party Leader Is Receiving a Scandal-Tainted Pension

At first, she wanted to see more mosques and pushed for controversial initiatives funded by taxpayer money. Now, Social Democrat Karin Wanngård is leaving politics with a pension that ordinary Swedes can hardly dream of. Moreover, she is far from alone among top politicians in benefiting from generous pension terms.

Former Social Democratic Finance Commissioner of Stockholm Karin Wanngård has been granted 80,167 kronor per month in temporary pension, reveals The Express. She is only 51 years old and is eligible to receive the benefits until she turns 67. If the full amount is paid out, it will total approximately 16.5 million kronor from taxpayers.

That amounts to nearly one million kronor a year with no requirement to continue working in politics. If Wanngård gets a new job, his earned income will be deducted from his pension. His benefits may therefore be reduced, but for the time being, they will continue to be paid out under the older pension system.

More Mosques and Billions in Debt

Wanngård is leaving Stockholm after a red-green administration during which the city’s indebtedness grown to 75 billion kronor. Under her leadership, it was decided to increase funding for Stockholm Pride from 700,000 kronor to two million kronor annually, totaling eight million over four years.

In 2024, she attracted attention when, in the multicultural, troubled suburb of Tensta, called for more mosques, noting that Sweden already has countless churches. The statement drew sharp criticism from, among others, the Sweden Democrats.

Yet another politician with a generous pension

Wanngård's pension is yet another example of the substantial benefits that former top politicians can receive. The Green Party's male spokesperson Daniel Helldén receives both a parliamentary allowance and a temporary pension from the City of Stockholm at the same time.

Former City Councilor for the Moderate Party Mikael Söderlund has also received more than 7 million kronor through the city's pension system since 2015.

  1. How about applying the RICO Act and thereby linking the Muslim Brotherhood’s terrorist activities to every single Social Democrat?.
(After all, they have signed far-reaching agreements with that very terrorist group.)
Then you could freeze all the Social Democrats' bank accounts pending an investigation and the holding of those responsible accountable. 🤔
